The Gateway

The Gateway brings together the power of the card with the security of the Enterprise by providing real time management, visibility and access to all elements of the remote laptop even if it's switched off at the time.

From the Gateway, administrators are able to:

• kill services, applications or the laptop itself
• push down patches based on real time corporate policy
• install new applications
• View the location of the device via GPS
• Monitor all aspects of the laptop in real time
• View real-time audit trail of all data present

Further Information

The OmniAccess 3500 Nonstop Laptop Guardian Gateway is the server component of the OmniAccess 3500 Nonstop Laptop Guardian platform. The Gateway terminates the secure tunnels initiated by the cards, manages user credentials and security policies, and provides storage and file-transfer capabilities in support of third-party remote-access and device-management applications.

The gateway cooperates with the card by ensuring that interface switchovers at the user endpoint of the secure tunnels do not disrupt any ongoing network application.

Gateway Options

There are two versions of the OmniAccess 3500 Nonstop Laptop Guardian Gateway;

• The SMB Gateway which supports up to 500 Cards and software based VPN acceleration
• The Enterprise Gateway for large installations of up to 15,000 Cards and incorporates hardware based VPN acceleration
